Appointments are made to allow for any emergencies that may arise throughout our surgery hours.
Captain Stirling Medical Centre Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8.00am to 7.00pm and 8.00am until 5.00pm on Friday.
Appointments:
Please ring (08) 9386 1858 for an appointment. When making your appointment, if you feel you may need more time than the normal 15 minutes, please inform our receptionists and a longer consultation will be organized. Appointments are made to allow for any emergencies that may arise throughout our surgery hours.
If you need more time with the doctor, please tell the receptionist when you book. Urgent medical problems will always be dealt with as promptly as possible.
Fees:
Structured around AMA Fee . Please pay at the time of consultation by cash, cheque, Visa or MasterCard. Any questions regarding fees may be answered by reception staff.
After-Hours:
The practice provides after hours care through a GP Locum services. All after hours calls will be transferred automatically or alternatively the locum service number is 13 26 60.
Medical Certificates:
All medical certificates require a consultation with your GP.
Laboratory Test Results:
We ask our patients to follow up results of investigations and to keep specialist appointments that are arranged for them. We do have a recall system however we expect that each patient will phone to follow up their results. Most results are available at the time of phoning however in some instances an appointment may be necessary. If there is an urgent need to talk to the doctor speak to the receptionist explaining the situation.
Recalls and Reminders:
Captain Stirling Medical Centre has a system in place to manage recalls and reminders for preventative health. If you do not wish to participate please advise the doctor during the consultation.
Repeat Scripts:
A consultation at Captain Stirling Medical Centre is required for all prescriptions. This is for medico-legal and ethical reasons and for your benefit.
Referrals:
Health Department Regulations require that a patient visits a GP to be referred to a specialist. Please consult the doctor before visiting the specialist as a referral will not be back-dated.

Doctors will attempt to return your call at a convenient time. All emergencies should be stated to the receptionist or please call an ambulance.
Parking:
Ample parking is available at the rear of Captain Stirling Medical Centre. We are situated near the corner of Dalkeith Road and Stirling Highway Nedlands. Next door is the Greencross Veterinary Clinic and our parking is off Dalkeith road behind the main building. There is ample parking in our own car park and also in the nearby street.
Smoking Policy:
As this is a health service we request you do not smoke while on the premises.
